Our family really enjoyed our stay at Umlani as it was so quiet and peaceful and authentic- very African rondevals. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We especially wish to say how wonderful Shadrack and Peter were in trying to locate the wildlife for us to see. We realized that with such a enormous area of land the animals could and did just disappear. We would spend hours looking for them. We had a wonderful and apparently rare sighting of a female Leopard stalking impala which was fantastic and we had sightings of everything other than Cheetah. We had a fantastic time and would love to come back again.

We had the most fantastic 3 night stay at Umlani and I would definitely go there again. The food is delicious and wholesome and the rooms are at once rustic (I loved not having electricity) and luxurious. We were lucky enough to see all the big five as well as cheetahs and hyena. On leaving Umlani we received news that a good friends 8yr old daughter had been attacked by a hyena whilst sitting around the campfire in the Kalahari. Just a word of caution to you in an unfenced camp to not underestimate the potential danger when kids are around.
