As an operational farm, Oewerzicht offers an abundance of fresh apples and pears from January to May, allowing you to savor the flavors of the season. Spanning over 600 hectares, the farm boasts rolling wheat lands, a bustling cattle farm, and even a mesmerizing herd of Reebok, creating an idyllic and enchanting countryside experience. Nature enthusiasts and birdwatchers will be captivated by the diverse array of wildlife that calls Oewerzicht home. Oewerzicht farm offers a selection of six charming stone cottages, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Additionally, seven cottages are available, including the historic farmhouse Welgeleë and Bergzicht. Indulge in a genuine farmhouse atmosphere as you admire the old blue gum ceilings and Oregon pine doors. Nestled on the edge of an apple orchard and a mere 100 meters away from the river, these cottages offer the perfect setting for excellent bass fishing and beautiful walks. Every cottage at Oewerzicht features its own outside and inside braai facility, allowing you to enjoy the delicious flavors of a traditional South African barbecue. The cottages are tastefully adorned with vintage Oregon pine and oak furniture, exuding a warm and inviting ambiance that will make you feel right at home. For those seeking more seclusion, Uitsig offers four freestanding cottages situated approximately 300 meters from the river, perched on a hill boasting breathtaking mountain views. Each Uitsig cottage includes two bedrooms with double beds, two bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living room area, and both inside and outside braai facilities. Between the four cottages, you'll find a sparkling swimming pool, inviting you to relax and unwind in the embrace of nature's beauty. All seven cottages are fully-equipped with essential appliances, and we provide towels, linen, and wood for your convenience. Please note that we require a minimum two-night stay over weekends. However, we do accept one-night bookings during weekdays. In addition, Welgelee, Uitsig 1, and Uitsig 4 feature private hot tubs on their verandas, while the six stone cottages boast a communal hot tub on the riverbank.
