Situated in the exclusive Pebble Rock - Golf and Bushveld Estate, Monkey Thorn Cottage is the perfect getaway for a couple wanting a break or for the corporate traveller wanting to play an 18-hole course or sit on the deck and enjoy the amazing views.

The cottage comprises one bedroom with a queen-size bed and a mattress for 2 children under the age of twelve on request. The bathroom is fitted with a shower. The cottage has a full modern kitchen, lounge and dining area.

Situated in the secure Pebble Rock Golf and Bushveld Estate, a mere 25 kilometres outside the CBD of Pretoria. It is close to the Roodeplaat Dam and next to the Sable Hills Waterfront Estate.

Monica is the perfect hostess. The cottage is far away from the main house and private with its own swimming pool. I came prepared, like you would with a self catering place with dish cloths, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, towels, etc. But Monica had it all there. Even coffee, tea, sugar, milk and ice. We were not lacking anything at all. My 8 yr old could still attend online school with the wifi provided. Netflix and dstv available. Everything in the cottage is new and of excellent quality, obviously Monica and Thys take a lot of pride in the accommodation. It's beautifully designed and decorated I especially enjoyed looking at all the antique tools and kitchen appliances. My daughter enjoyed reading the book about snakes and she was very sad to say goodbye to the cute meerkat decorations in the kitchen. We were forced to rest and relax. We had our coffee on the patio and watched the birds and bunnies. We had our lunches at the golf club and we could cook dinner like we do at home in the fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and oven and one night whilst it was raining we lit up the braai inside for the steaks. The wood and firelighters were provided too. It is such a cozy place and it definitely feels like home away from home, with all the comforts, but with nature surrounding you. I will definitely be back.
