The Avoca Vale Country Hotel ? formerly The Inn on Louis Trichardt ? lies nestled in the majestic Soutpansberg Mountains just 11km from Louis Trichardt in South Africa's renowned Limpopo province.

The Hotel has a beautiful African colonial charm together with hospitality and excellent service of a bygone era overlooking the majestic Soutpansberg, with a large garden laced with colourful roses, lilies, clivias and a serene pool. Avoca Vale is an idyllic spot in Ireland, the hotel being named from family connections.

The building that houses the reception area, lounges and dining room used to be a farmhouse and dates back many decades. While a few of the Rondavels remain, ten modern room have been added.

What a gem by

Beautiful situation snuck in the mountains. Lovely place, comfortable rooms, good food and wonderful staff. Definitely stay there again.

The food is divine,compliments to the chef,the staff is friendly, well the two people who welcomed me and the waiter at breakfast has good hospitality skills. I was extra disappointed with the room, I could smell the dust in there and there was a rather big spider that crept out from the bedding.The cherry on top is the dirty white linen sheets were ok but the duvet cover was dirty.The place is beautiful just needs to be worked on.
