Wierda Park has access to numerous activities, both in Pretoria and Johannesburg: Groenkloof Nature Reserve and the Voortrekker Monument are but 10 kilometres from here; one of the prettiest golf courses at the Zwartkop Country Club is down the road; the Swartkop Air Force Museum is close by in Valhalla - where visitors can get a bird's eye view of military and civilian aircraft during their air shows, and the many centres of town tourist icons in Pretoria are close at hand.
