Owner managed, Gecko Backpackers is a quality international backpackers tucked away in one of the last indigenous forest along the Sabie Valley in the South African Lowveld. A good place to use as a base from which to explore the world famous Kruger National park and the Panorama route.

We offer accommodation in basic, but clean twin rooms (bathrooms are separate), mixed dormitories and a double en-suite room. Our campsite is located under large shady trees, with stunning open plan bush view showers and toilets.

A fully equipped self catering kitchen is available for guests' use. Alternatively, share the braai with our other guests and enjoy the international vibe. The fully stocked bar provides drinks to enjoy in our open patio with a full view of the stunning forests.

While the splash pool gives a welcome coolness on the hot lowveld days, there are plenty of other outdoor activities available in the area, with Big 5 safaris in Kruger and white river rafting as just some of the highlights.
