A little piece of heaven in PE! by

I spent a long weekend at Deer Park Guest House this past weekend, and in future will stay nowhere else! I felt as if I'd discovered a little piece of heaven on the outskirts of PE - a delightful establishment set in 5 acres of lush green hills, animals roaming in the gardens, birds chirping in the trees as we had breakfast on the deck. Lovely spacious room, spotless with all amenities and best of all, hosts EILEEN and JIM BOGGESS were fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. And all this only 15 mins away from the centre of PE - close enough to get to my meetings but far enough to also feel as if it was a weekend's holiday! I arrived there as a first-time guest, and felt as if I left as part of the family, wanting to return as soon as possible! I will be back! Can't recommend the establishment highly enough!

Great place to stay by

Stayed in the double rooms on the veranda, very nice and comfortable. The cows are super awesome! And they call them in the mornings after breakfast, for some cow treats (orange peals and such). If you have never seen a cow get all excited and run, go stay there for an evening! Jokes aside, the owners are very courteous and friendly. Would very much consider staying there again, if I go to P.E. in the future.

Pleasant and relaxing environment. The two room
accommodation we stayed was clean but the beds
were not comfortable and the television and channels available was poor

Got blatantly ripped off and experienced worst accommodation by

Was invoiced (and still have invoice as proof) a self-catering unit at rate quoted on site. Paid 50% deposit within 24 hours of receiving quote to secure unit. Remainder of 50% balance was paid within a week.
On arrival we were taken to a family room (that should have been cheaper than what I paid for), when I immediately queried this with Eileen, we were told that we messed her around for a month before accepting the quote. She also said that she had told us that the self-catering unit was not available and that she would supply us with a family room and a toaster to justify the cost. This message, she then showed me, was at the very bottom of the webpage and was reflected no where on the quote - I never saw or responded to it. She told us if we were not happy with it, to leave immediately and go somewhere else.
The shower was not effective, the room was cramped for 3 people and it smelt. There was definitely no hospitality at any point.
