Valley View Cottage is situated in Hogsback with beautiful mountain views, surrounded by natural forests. The units are within walking distance to restaurants, pubs and an information centre.

We offer two self-catering units in one building with separate entrances, ideal for a family or a group of friends. All linen and towels are provided, and the units are serviced daily. Each unit has a fireplace inside and braai facilities located in the garden. A sleeper couch can be added on request. We allow pets by prior arrangement only.

The garden has lots of trees and shrubs, with seasonal flowers during the summer months. Birds, monkeys and baboons in the area watch over human activities with curiosity.

Sub-standard house by

The house is sub-standard. We did not enjoy our living arrangements. Kitchen not up to standard. The bathroom definitely luxurious. The house does not smell good.

Overnight in Hogsback by

What a stunning area. Wish I had booked for longer. The hostess is also incredibly friendly and helpful.

Really nice view and comfortable cottage. Would definitely stay there again.

We decided not to stay at Valley View Cottage by

Do you check accomodation before you advertize it? When we arrived at the cottage I could not believe that it was advertized on your site for R1,100- for 2 nights for 2 people. It is not in a good area of the town....,there are lots of unkemp bushes and untidy netting camped off an area where I think homeless people was making a fire? There was a lot of smoke coming from it. I definately would not recommend that any tourists stay there. We arrived at 6 oclock but after seeing what the place & area looked like from the outside we decided to rather find other accomodation. I only clicked on the one star rating to be able to submit the review. We did not enter the cottage so I cannot comment on any item which I rated as one star.

The valley view cottage was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the town. We didn't want to leave! Was really cold there. But the fireplace in our room helped so so much :)

It was good by

TV is old fashion and we needed both room to have TV ,WIFI and shower caps in the bathroom.
