Bateleur's Nest is a cosy self-catering cottage within Marloth Park that caters for up to six people.

The cottage offers a spacious kitchen and lounge area. The main bedroom is situated on the ground floor next to the bathroom. The upstairs loft area shares four single beds and has access to the viewing deck. The main bedroom and loft area are both air-conditioned.

Viewing deck with tables and chairs and a Jucuzzi outside for relaxing. Braai area and fire pit.

Disappointed! by

Marloth Park was enjoyable as always, but we chose Bateleurs Nest because of the Jacuzzi which was not filled and was not working, however we did not let that ruin our stay. The fact that I am battling to get my breakage deposit back now for more than 6 weeks after my stay, that is really the worse part of it all. There was not mentioning of any breakage deposit when I enquired but as soon as the booking was finalized I received e-mails regarding the breakage deposit, when I phoned I was told that all was in order and that I will receive my deposit back within a week, but it is 6 weeks after my stay and I have been phoning and mailing them but have not received anything yet.

It was amazing, we wil go back anytime. Maybe the owner must just leave instructions for the gas, we struggled the whole weakend figgering it out. But we realy enjoyed our stay.

Animals and more animals!!! by

We loved our stay at Bateleurs Nest. Zebras, Kudus, Warthogs, Steenbokkies, Springbokkies, a Scorpion and Spiders came to say hello at Bateleurs Nest. The jacuzzi was amazing! We would definitely visit again. Love this place!

Terrible by

There are many issues with this accommodation. The worst were the mice and bats! They are everywhere. They poop all over the place! You can clean as much as you like. The poop will keep falling from the grass roof as they have nestled themselves comfortably in the roof. The roof is also falling apart. At night you can see the sky from the inside. I had to carry my baby for our whole weeks stay as I could not put her down. The poop all over is a health risk. I also informed the owner but did not even get a sorry back. Do not book this unit. Pay a bit more and get peace for your soul! This was no holiday at all!!!!!!!!
