The Waterberg's beauty, its diversity in plant and animal life, has evolved into the development of many eco-tourism projects. The biosphere reserve, the Waterberg Nature Conservancy, is the combination of conservation areas in order to protect more than 150,000 hectares of Waterberg habitat.
