La Provence Wine Estate is located within a few minutes' drive from the charming Franschhoek with its renowned restaurants, shops and galleries.
The estate offers Self-catering or B&B Cottages situated in lush gardens overlooking vineyards and the Franschhoek Mountains. Each unit offers a comfortable double bed, king-size bed or single beds and a private bathroom. The kitchenettes are equipped for self-catering with a small stove, oven, microwave, tea and coffee facilities and utensils. Guests can relax in the cosy lounge area which has a TV with DStv as well as a cosy fireplace on those chilly days. Each unit also has a veranda with barbecue facilities. We serve hearty breakfasts on the terrace of the historic manor house; we offer a cold buffet or a full English breakfast.
During summer, guests can cool down in the spring-water pool, play a game of tennis or take a walk next to the river. During winter, guests can relax in front of their private fireplaces or explore the winelands.
There are various activities on the farm such as cellar tours with wine tasting or hiking through the vineyards, around the orchard and along the Franschhoek River. When visiting La Provence in November, guests are welcome to pick and pack peaches and in late February and March, the grapes are harvested and guests are invited to join the picking with their own basket or to taste the fresh grape juice during the crushing and pressing process.
Cape Town is within an hour's drive and Paarl and Stellenbosch are only 20 minutes away; La Provence Wine Estate is the ideal base for a winelands holiday.
