Garies is situated along the N7 Highway and is renowned for its massive display of spring wildflowers. Garies is considered as one of the main tourism centres during spring time.

The bed and breakfast room is ideal for those just passing through and the backpackers hut offers all the basics and has a basin with hot and cold water. Breakfast is available at an additional cost on request. There a lapa with braai facilities and an entertainment area for camping groups and functions. Ablution facilities include showers with warm water.

Groenriviersmond Accommodation is situated about 60KMs west of town and 3KMs from the South entrance of the Namaqua National Park. Other attractions include miles of hiking and biking trails and the farm is quad-bike friendly, endless display of Namaqualand wild flowers, Namaqualand wildlife in our conservancy, minutes from the coastline, uncrowded land of wide-open spaces and broad horizons, dusky dolphins found on the west coast, water birds like the flamingos, and a function venue for up to 30 people.
