Ellie's Self-Catering Cottage offers comfortable overnight accommodation in a spacious unit, situated in Waterval Boven. This shaded and tranquil unit rests on the bank of the Elands River, featuring a variety of lovely bird life.

This charming unit consists of a private bedroom with an open en-suite bathroom, a kitchenette and a lounge area with a TV. All linen and towels are provided, as well as toiletries. Easy view DStv is provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own decoder and smart card.

Officially known as Emgwenya, this is a small town located on the edge of the Escarpment on the banks of the Elands River. It is above the 75m Elands Falls on the railway line from Pretoria to Maputo, in Mpumalanga.

Friendly & affordable accommodation by

Ellie and Manfred were very friendly and accommodating. We loved the home made biscuits and droewors.
Dstv was an added bonus. A comfortable homely spot.

Die eienaars is baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Die plekkie is netjies en ons motor was veilig agter 'n geslote hek. Ons kan die verblyf vir enige iemand aanbeveel.

The cottage is comfortable with everything you need to self cater. The hosts are friendly, hospitable and most helpful. I really recommend Ellie's if you are in the area and need a convenient place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet part of town. Hosts were great. This is not a 5 star hotel, but good value for money basic accommodation. It can sleep 3 and there is facilities to have a "braai". The hosts are vary accommodating and share information about the area freely. I would stay there again.

Gasvryheid en verwelkoming was tops! by

Ons het heerlik gekuier in Waterval Boven, met hope besienswaardighede in die omtrek. Die tuisgebakte koekies en turksvye wat vir ons afgeskil is, was 'n lekker bederfie. Ellie en haar man het uit hul pad gegaan om ons tuis te laat voel. Die akkomodasie is op standaard en daar was als wat ons nodig gehad het. Ons kan dit aanbeveel.
