While La Teranga prides themselves on being an economical overnight option, this definitely does not take away from the rooms' luxuries. There are 10 bedrooms each sleeping two people. These rooms include en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, bar fridges, internet access, and televisions with DStv available at your leisure. Conference facilities are available and can accommodate up to 30 delegates.

Kokstad is a picturesque town located near the border of KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape at Brooks Nek Pass. It is considered to be the southern gateway to the Drakensberg. There are various historical buildings in Kokstad, these include a museum and different Griqua heritage sites.

Horrible Experience in La Teranga by

I had one of the most horrible experiences during my visit in Kokstad last month. Firstly, I was supposed to get R250 off my boking as per Safari Now Promo code. I paid a 50% deposit and was to pay the balance at the establishment. I was given a discounted (by R250) total. When I got to the venue , I was told to pay the full balance , as they dont know anything about that discount. I guess it was now between me and Safarinow. this I found to be grossly unfair , as they are partner. i dont think it was my battle to fight. As if that was not enough, I was told the place I had booked was full , and I was send to different place which, i believe was not an equivalent to what i booked. I initially booked an executive suit , with fridge, microwave and chairs . i was downgraded to a standard room , which did not even look presentable. it was more like a backroom , and in an unsatisfactory condition, I have photos to support this. There was a kelle and tea/ coffee/sugar sachets but no water or coffee mug. This rendered this useless. The least I say about the manager, the better. All in all, I felt dubbed or scammed by both Safari Now and La Teranga.
