Watermill Farm Guest Cottages

Watermill Farm Cottages offers self-catering cottages and is located on a tranquil farm, overlooking the Rooiberg Mountain range and conservancy area. The farm is situated 3 km from the little Karoo village of Van Wyksdorp, off the R62 highway.

We have four fully equipped cottages each with a kitchen, living area, bedroom/s, bathroom, braai area, and views of either the dam or the gardens. The cottages feature dung floors and hand-made mud-brick walls, plastered with earth and then whitewashed. Each cottage is uniquely decorated with local antique furnishings and dung floors which are warm and soft to the step.

Watermill Farm Cottages is ideally suited to nature lovers, plant, and bird enthusiasts, as the property features a diverse habitat of flora and fauna. There are also lovely walks on and around the property as well as a dam to swim in.

All of our cottages are off the grid - running on solar energy and receiving fresh mountain water. Firewood is available to purchase on the property as well as fresh produce (depending on availability).
