Built in the wattle and daub style under Mopane trees and connected by a maze of paths, the main building and chalets of Damara Mopane Lodge resemble an African village. We offer 55 air-conditioned chalets set in a vegetable and herb garden surrounded by a low wall. The gardens supply fresh ingredients for supper, which consists of a starter followed by a delicious buffet.

There is also a swimming pool and a viewing point for relishing sunsets. The lodge is located at the gates of Damaraland and is ideally suited for excursions to Twyfelfontein, the Petrified Forest and the Vingerklip rock pillar.

Place to go by

Very relaxing place to stay. They grow all their vegetables themselves. This is great to do so and to spread the gardens around the little lodges. This gives a perfect feeling. I'll go back.
