Stunning by

Stunning place. Would recommended it to anyone. Lichel, you really go the extra mile. The Reps have only good things to say about the stay at Dalcor.

Unhappy Guest by

We had the honeymoon suite. Very beautiful. We were just disappointed that even after cancelling more than 7 days before arrival we were forced to pay for the one room we did not use. It seems the cancellation policy is inconsistent with what is reflected on the net. The breakfast can also be improved, otherwise it's a good establishment.

Great location by

Dalcor is a comfortable establishment. Being a self-catering venue though, a bit more could be done regarding the smaller details... 1 teaspoon per unit is surprisingly impractical! We will however return in the future given it's location

The gorgeous room and bathroom by

Maybe a little screen by the toilet, even if it is just you and your husband, privacy on the throne... We found it difficult to fill the kettle in the basins or the bath, so maybe a little jug and then could not boil, as the kettle was a rounded 2 prong plug and there was no rounded 2 prong socket.

The Room was amazing by

First of all the room was stunning - i was hoping for the price i would atleast get Nescafe coffee and some nice DSTV Channels - the toilet was broken as well other than that it was nice

Average by

The people are friendly and the room and bathroom is clean. However, the locks and blinds are broken and not maintained. We had a problem with our booking and were put in the wrong room and they wanted to charge us R400 a night for a 10 month old baby, eventough we booked a self catering flat. The rooms are extremely cold in winter. For the price we had to pay at the end [we had to pay extra for our 3 year old] we would not go back, and rather stay some where else. It is noot good value for money.

Establishments response:

Mrs Moller asked for a quote for 2 adults ONLY and arrived as 2 adults and 2 kids (not giving children's ages neither)! Reason for not getting self-catering flat, as it can only accommodate 3 people and not 4 - so the only alternative accommodation available, was a family room that sleeps 4. If children's ages was know, a camping cot could have been provided too! A discounted rate of more that 45% was given for each child as well as the option of having breakfast included in discounted rate! Maybe if the guest was honest regarding the reservation, this problem could have been prevented! Also nothing wrong with door locks or keys. All rooms are equipped with heaters as well as with fans!

Regards

A lovely venue but small issues by

Bedroom doors could not be locked as no keys were available and the sliding doors could not be opened no key. Saturday night the door to one of the bedrooms could be opened and the manager was not available so we had to call out a lock smith to open it Not acceptable that the doors to the bedroom could not be locked when you leave the facility. The front door lock also needed attention. It would have been nice to have bedside mats as the tiled floors are cold. the bedrooms need more than one small side tables and a chair in the room would have helped matters. The fridge had not been cleaned out properly and one of the freezer trays still had blood on the bottom of the dray as well as packets of ice all over the bottom of 2 draws. The work surface had not been cleaned properly. Management super vision needs to be improved
