Excellent stay by

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Church Street Lodge. We received such a friendly welcome from Helen and immediately felt at home.

I was pleasantly surprised at the large room we were shown to and the fact that we had our own entrance to come and go as we please while exploring the town.

The garden area has lovely shade and beckons one to relax on one of the benches provided and read a book.

The facilities were clean and comfortable and we wondered how we were going to take the bed home with us.
Helen is such a great hostess and is willing to help with anything. She makes sure her guests are happy. Thank you so much Helen.

I highly recommend this friendly and at-home establishment. We will definitely make this our base when we are in the area again. It was great - thank you!

Your receptionist will be the end death of your business. I've had better service from a Checkers cashier. I gave my room keys to next guest and stayed elsewhere. I am not looking for a refund, please take that money and send your receptionist on training, or a holiday, or therapy.

Good location, clean and neat, but as with a lot of similar guest houses, very poor work facilities.
I was in Room 14, only one small oval table with two chairs, the seats of which were higher than the table top! Very uncomfortable to work at.
However, I must commend the staff for finding me accommodation for a second night when SafariNow omitted to check/change my accommodation request

Disappointing by

Room stank of cigarette smoke and didn't have a shower.

Friendly Receptionist by

For what we needed , everything was fine
