Afribode Angel Cottage

Angel Cottage is named after one of the house cats living on the property, who will show you around this 1-bedroom terraced cottage in authentic old Cape Town suburb of Upper Woodstock, 4km from the centre of Cape Town.

The attractive pool with tall palm tree is shared with the adjoining Sky Cottage ? yes, named after another of the cats! The bedroom contains a king-size bed (or twin beds if you prefer), a roomy dressing area with plenty of cupboards and small en-suite shower bathroom.

The apartment sleeps 2 adults (sorry no children). The living spaces in Angel Cottage are open-plan with doors leading onto the patio where there's a 4-seater café-style table next to the pool. Our visitors like to relax out here and fire up the Weber braai.

The kitchen is equipped with oven, hob and extractor fan, fridge/freezer, microwave and blender. There is a 6-seater dining table and lounge with L-shaped sofa, wall-mounted TV and international channels. A launderette is right around the corner and there's a washing line in the courtyard. Parking is on-street and there is a gated alleyway in Palmerston Road giving access to the side of the property.

Woodstock is renowned for hip and stylish décor outlets, coffee shops and the popular Saturday Neighbourhoods Market in the Old Biscuit Mill retail precinct. It's an intensely creative area that hasn't been over-gentrified and retains a relaxed neighbourhood vibe.

There are numerous places to eat and three casual eateries within a stone's throw of Angel Cottage; Jamaica Me Crazy Caribbean grill house, Pesce Azzurro and District Café.

The M3 Motorway on-and-off-ramps are a few hundred metres up the road, making access to and from central Cape Town and all the tourist attractions very easy. This motorway takes you directly to the V&A Waterfront and in the other direction to Cape Town International Airport in just +-20 minutes (outside rush hour). The only reliable public transport are the MyCiti Buses, which conveniently have two bus stops less than 100 metres from the Angel Cottage.
