The Amanzi Private Game Reserve is set in beautiful bushveld surroundings, despite being slap bang in the middle of the Free State. Amanzi offers accommodation to fit every taste.

The Chalets are spacious, luxuriously finished and fully self-catering, perched on a hill overlooking the beautiful bush field surroundings of this amazing part of South Africa. The unique caravan park in the bush consists of 18 well-equipped stands with running water, braai and electricity, the ablution block is luxurious and also caters for paraplegics. A large swimming pool and lapa is available for the guests to enjoy.

Undercover parking is provided. The Wild Olive Restaurant is a unique and beautiful restaurant situated in the main building near the entrance gate of Amanzi. A wild Olive Tree is mounted in the centre of the restaurant that can host one hundred and twenty guests. The Bush Boma is an open-air boma that host up to one hundred and eighty guests for weddings and private celebrations.

What an experience! We stayed over for one night but felt like a week! Staff, accommodation restaurant food and area out of this world. Only suggestion, please replace cremora with something else.

The natural Free State surroundings were wonderful and refreshing. We were fortunate to encounter about ten adult kudu's watching me and my son in dead silence while there antenna-ears were standing erect and moving in military fashion to spy out our moves and motives. We think the walking trail (5.1kilo's) definitely needs an upgrade in terms of a fixed edging and even the surface can be paved in some bad uneven areas. To double the width can also be an asset because some hikers will enjoy to walk next to their friend enjoying the vegetation together. It can be a project done over several months even involving some regular visitors to Amanzi. The general inquiries and help desk can be more hospitable and helpful. There seems to be some stress factors causing the staff not to be so at ease. The keys and remotes given in the plastic zip-bag is really a winner to help visitors to keep these important items together.
