Heerlike oornag ondervinding! by

Dankie - ons het heerlik gebly! Lekker bed waarop ons geslaap het - alles in kamer wat netjies en skoon. Geen klagtes!

Neat but small by

Clean and Tidy, just very small. No space for self catering.

We really enjoyed our visit to Alte Welkom Guest house. it was very neat, tidy and quiet, our only complaint would be the mosquitos although I know this is out of your control. Many thanks for the great night stay. this was ideal for us.

A disappointing weekend by

We found the room to be neat and clean, albeit a bit small. Unfortunately the owners pay little or no attention to their guests. On arrival it took nearly half an hour to get access to the premises. Neither the cell phone given nor the landline were answered. The gate bell to the guest portion is disconnected. Eventually we managed to attract the attention of the gardener who found some one to let us in. The rooms are not serviced every day and once again the owners can be difficult to contact. We also found the presence of what can only be described as a begging bowl (labelled "money for snacks") to be in poor taste. To put this in context there were no snacks or even shower soap provided.

In summary a place that has a pleasant ambiance and has potential if the owner will pay it some attention, but a very disappointing visit for us.
