The grounds have great walking paths to explore, through rambling ferns and bushes leading to the perennial stream, hence the name. A colonial style Manor House flaunts a sweeping driveway across an elegant garden, the perfect stage for the many bird species and the vervet monkeys that often come to visit. Charmingly restored, the inside is stylishly decorated in a mixture of old family furniture, brought in from Italy, and some contemporary modern pieces to create something both classy and unusual, making for a relaxed ambiance. The dining room is replete with impressions of Africa, as well as comfy chairs and a crackling log fire in the bar-lounge area waiting to welcome you. Folding glass doors open onto the terrace, which commands a superb view of expansive lawns, reflecting pool and fruit trees.
