Welcome to the French Cottage in the picturesque Karoo town of Prince Albert where relaxation is a way of life.

Perfect as a romantic getaway or as an escape from the stresses of city life, The French Cottage is a totally private and intimate space with views across olive groves and lavender.

It has a wide veranda for afternoon naps and sundowners, an extra length king-size bed with mosquito net. An open plan lounge with air-con/heater and a fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen for those guests choosing self-catering. A Weber BBQ is also available.

Linen and towels are included.

We just hope you are dog lovers as we have three beautiful Rhodesian Ridgebacks in our property. They are very friendly and welcoming but won't bother you as a fence separates you from their home at the main house.

Unfortunately as this is their home, we don't take pets.

We regret but we do not accept children on the property.

Wonderful stay by

We were so impressed with The French Cottage! It is located on the edge of an olive grove with lovely views of the Karoo landscape from the porch and just a short walk to the center of the town. The cottage is beautifully decorated with all the home comforts of a fully equipped kitchen, air-con and fire place. It was wonderful to stay in a place where the hosts have give such attention to detail. Elin and Diddier were incredibly friendly and really made us feel welcome. We look forward to returning to the porch, quietly reading and watching the Karoo day go by.

We loved the pics, and we loved the cottage - it really is lovely. And peaceful. And there was a wood stove, great for heating in winter . The hosts are super-nice.

Beautifully equipped, spacious and tastefully decorated cottage in a delightful setting. Our stay was just too short. Elin has an eye for detail and was most hospitable. Excellent value.
