Altelekker offers comfortable accommodation situated in the small town of Kareedouw, the gateway to the Langkloof Mountains. It is 120 km from Port Elizabeth and is located between the Tsitsikamma- and Suuranys Mountains.

The guest house has four guest rooms and two shared bathrooms available. All the rooms are equipped with tea and coffee facilities, TVs and air-conditioning. There is a well-appointed kitchenette for self-catering guests, and a communal lounge area with full DStv access.

Enjoy some tasty meals in our restaurant, or relax with a indoor braai & sport of movies a big-screen TV. NO PUB ON PREMISES! Popular activities in the area include canoe trips on the Kouga River, hiking trails and 4x4 trips through the Suurveld, Kouga and Baviaanskloof Wilderness.

Part of this establishment is a Pub making lots of noise until after 01:00 in the morning.  I think this information should be made clear when booking!

I will not recommend this place to any one!



One night stand by

Friendly people and we had the place to ourselves, which was great! We stayed for only one night and have no complaints except that the place was clearly not cleaned for our stay. It was a bit dusty and there was still some old trash in the bins which could have been emptied out beforehand. I would, however, stay there again if the cleanliness could improve.
