Beaumont Wines

Beaumont is a charming family-run farm and winery situated in the quaint Overberg village of Bot River. The farm, home to the region's oldest wine cellar and one of the oldest working water mills in the Overberg, is steeped in history, dating back to the 1700s. A visit to Beaumont is a romantic escape into a timeless world where tradition is a way of life.

Soak up the balmy summer days or chase away the winter blues with books, music, good food and wine in the Mill House or Peppertree Cottage. Enjoy invigorating walks through the vineyards, wine tasting, hiking the Fynbos-rich mountain trails, horse riding or just lazing in the hot waters of the Caledon Spa. Or perhaps a swim in the fresh mountain water lake on a hot summer's day; the jetty offers one of the prettiest settings for sundowners. You can even put the idea of cooking on the back-burner and instead arrange to have delicious home-cooked meals delivered to your cottage.

Beaumont Wines offers two beautifully restored self-catering farm cottages. The Peppertree Cottage is the smaller, cosier one which has one bedroom with a double bed and two single beds in the lounge area. The Mill House is a very spacious cottage which has one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds and two extra beds in the lounge area. Both cottages have fully equipped kitchens and we supply all your bedding, bath towels and plenty of firewood for the indoor fireplaces and the braai facilities.
