Lakenvlei Forest Lodge, the ultimate escape from city life, nestles amid a lush pine forest estate, about 10 km north of Belfast in the Eastern Highlands of Mpumalanga province. This area is famous for its cool summers, frosty winters and trout-filled streams and dams.

There are twelve self-catering luxury chalets constructed from solid pine logs from the surrounding area. Each chalet is beautifully furnished in a comfortable cottage style, with a large open-hearth fireplace as a focal point in the living area. They have fully equipped kitchens, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The chalets are serviced daily.

There is a main lodge where guests will find a country-style restaurant specializing in country cuisine, as well as a cosy pub. There are many activities at the lodge, including hiking, bass fishing, tennis, and horse riding.
