The King's Place is a smallholding set on eight acres of prime agricultural land in the lush seaside valley of Hout Bay. We are surrounded by magnificent gardens with views of the back of Table Mountain, the Constantiaberg and the renowned Chapman's Peak. The 4 kilometre long beach is a five-minute drive away and we are 10 minutes from the Constantia Wine Route and 20 minutes from Cape Town Central and the V & A Waterfront.

The King's Place is a working farm. We have a wholesale nursery where we grow a variety of plants both in green houses and in the fields.

Great location by

We felt very at home in this great little apartment. It's cosy, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Very friendly hosts - even though their house was a little further down the hill, we felt we could approach them at any time. Hout Bay was a great location for us with our young baby - quiet and easy to get to.

Very good by

It felt like we were staying with family friends in that we were very welcomed and not in a hotel type environment. Anyone you ran into was very friendly and helpful but it really is a working "farm" environment with random dogs, chickens, a busy nursery, and horse stables at the bottom of the property. We stayed in the cottage and it was clean, attractive, and the perfect size for a couple. It was also magically silent despite the activity at the bottom of the property. If you appreciate gardening, you are in luck because the property has beautiful plants all over the place. (They definitely contribute the quietness & privacy of the cottage.) We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.
