Nothando Backpackers Lodge is a hostel which is centrally located and within easy walking distance of the town centre, restaurants, pubs and the beach. The hostel has eight bedrooms of which five rooms have their own en-suite bathrooms and two rooms share a bathroom. We also have an eight-sleeper Dorm. All rooms have their own private entrances and parking space.
Besides a hearty health or English breakfast, we also specialize in traditional South African food. Other facilities provided include a TV lounge, honesty bar, barbecue, telephone, fax and Internet access.
Plettenberg Bay is fast becoming the top destination for boat based whale and dolphin watching. Due to the large number of whale and dolphin species found in the bay, the Centre for Dolphin Studies has recently been relocated from Port Elizabeth to Plettenberg Bay. Four species of whales can be seen throughout the year.
Besides the normal leisure activities such as golf, tennis, and horse riding, there are also a host of other activities available which include guided ferry trips up the Keurbooms River, birdwatching, walks on the Robberg Peninsula, visits to Monkey Land, mountain bike trails, bungee jumping, scuba diving and snorkelling.
