Wensleydale Guest Lodge is situated in the major accommodation area in Pietermaritzburg, which is the capital of KwaZulu-Natal and the traditional home of the Zulu nation.

Beautifully appointed with an African safari lodge flavour, the exclusive yet affordable accommodation is suitable for families, corporate guests, sporting groups and tourists alike. A warm welcome awaits you at this little piece of Africa in the Sun.

Wensleydale Guest Lodge offers guests a choice of nine lovely units. The units are comfortably furnished and have French doors opening onto private indigenous gardens. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchens with all your culinary requirements and the separate lounges offer comfortable couches, extra beds and flat screen TVs with DStv. The private patios have braai facilities set under large flat topped thorn-trees Acacia Sieberiana and traditional African medicine trees. Please note that some rates are subject to the number of guests staying, hence we advise guests to request the appropriate tariffs.

A full English breakfast is available at a cost of R80 per person and is served between 06:30 to 08:30 on weekdays and Saturdays and from 07:00 to 09:00 on Sundays. A buffet dinner or a la carte menu order is R120 per person and is served between 18:00 to 20:30 on weekdays only.

We are also close to shopping malls as well as restaurants and we are on the Mr. Delivery route.

Guests can relax around the sparkling pool with poolside loungers and garden suite. Off street secure undercover parking is available as well as photocopying, fax and internet services. Debit, Visa, Master and/or Amex credit cards welcome. Airport Transfers organized ex Oribi Airport and King Shaka Airport.

Home away from home is the best way to describe this awesome find. We were so happy with everything the spacious apartment with all the trimmings, the friendly staff and the beautifull setting. 10 out of 10. We will be back if visiting the region again and will let all of our freinds know about this little gem. Thank you Wensleydale............

We enjoyed our stay at the Wensleydale Guest Lodge in Pietermaritzburg. Barbara and Luka were very helpful and the room we stayed in was very nice.

Nice place but unfriendly owners by

I enjoyed the room I got. I would just like to express my disappointment in the actions of the owner, I had invited my relatives over for a braai as my sister was about to get married the next day and the owner was standing by the braai area reminding me of what time guests must leave, and the time was a little over 8 pm. We did not make noise, I played did not play any music, all we did was have conversations and eat. I had a couple of beers but last I checked its allowed at a bnb? If this lodge does not want guests to invite people why is there a braai area and why did they not make it known on their website that they dont allow visitors then I would have chosen another bnb. I also requested them to clean their pool as it was dirty, they never cleaned it. I conclude by saying it was my first and last visit at Wenseleydale Guest Lodge.

Clean place clean towels and bed linen and great mattress providing comfortable and enjoyable sleep. Great shower head providing a great showering experience.
