Waaigras Konferensieplek en Cottage

Waaigras Conference Centre and Cottage is situated in Hills and Dales and overlooks the rolling grasslands of the Rhenosterspruit Nature Conservancy. Guests can watch the beautiful sunsets and listen to the night sounds while relaxing around the fire.

The Cottage is comfortably furnished and is great for a family or a small group. The rooms are furnished with single beds that can be converted into a king-size bed on request, and the bathrooms are en-suite. Linen, towels and hot water bottles, as well as soap and a range of pillows are also available. Heaters, fans and mosquito nets will add more comfort to your stay and extra accommodation is also available in the main house. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, an extra freezer, a stove and tea and coffee facilities. Guests can relax in the cosy lounge or read one of the books available; there is no TV. Guests can also enjoy their meals in the dining room and braai facilities are available.

Children are welcome and a cot is available on request. Cleaning services can be arranged according to your needs and additional help and laundry services are available at additional costs. The conference centre is spacious and can accommodate up to 30 people in cinema-style seating. A flipchart and pens are available on request and at an additional cost.

Guests can wander through the Wild Garden or go on a walk or hike, some as long as 9 km, through the Bankenveld Grasslands. For the birders, there are over 300 bird species just waiting to be seen and a short drive will take guests to the Sterkfontein Caves at the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site or various game reserves in the surrounding area.
