Victoria Falls Rest Camp is the best budget accommodation available in the Victoria Falls. The Victoria Falls rest camp is situated right in the middle of Victoria Falls town making it a perfect place to be based with all amenities within walking distance. The rest camp is only two kilometres from the falls making it the closest campsite to the falls.

The security around the camp is a top priority with high stainless steel fences and electric fences making it first class. The rest camp boasts numerous well-maintained grass areas and an abundance of different varieties of trees making the surroundings in the camp very enjoyable. It makes this rest camp very popular for families as children have a safe and secure scenic environment to play in.

The Victoria Falls Rest Camp has got several accommodation options to choose from, including campsites, dormitories, chalets, self-catering chalets, self-contained lodges to a few luxury tented options. Each of these accommodation options is suited to different traveller's needs but the high standard of service is maintained throughout the camp no matter what option you choose.

The Victoria Falls Rest Camp features a big swimming pool that is a huge attraction for the guests. Families can be found there most of the days cooling off from the heat and relaxing while the children have fun in the pool. In Da Belly restaurant is situated in the rest camp and provides a delicious affordable menu catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks during the day.

Our reception area is open and friendly with an information deck that can deal with any of your enquiries and questions. The activity desk is a popular place at the rest camp with visitors as all information on all activities as well a bookings take place there. Victoria Falls is know as the adventure capital of Africa and with so many activities on offer the activities desk is the first port of call for the visitors. No matter what activity you are looking at doing from the adrenalin activities of bunjee jumping to whitewater rafting, to a family visit to the crocodile farm where visitors can hold a baby croc, the activity desk will be bale to furnish you with all the up to date information as well as booking the various activities.

The reception also offers clients a safe keeping facility at reception for all your valuables, ensuring a peace of mind on your trip. There is a daily laundry facility at the rest camp to ease to worry of having to try and do laundry when on holiday. The well-stocked gift shop offers tourists an opportunity to pick up last minute souvenirs and memorabilia of the rest camp and falls.

Victoria falls rest camp and lodges by

Stayed for two nights. Good accommodation. Clean. Nice pool and bar area. Could walk to Victoria Falls from the accommodation but I would not do it on your own (there were 4 of us) as you get hassled right outside the gates to buy or swap you money.

Vic Falls Rest Camp by

We stayed for 2 nights in mid August 2010. We had book a 2 bedroom chalet via the internet and all went smoothly. On arrival all was as booked and the welcome was very friendly and efficient. The place is clean and well maintained, just the interior of the chalet might need a little refreshing, but they were redoing one of the ablution block it shows that they are trying to keep the standards.

Feeling Home by

It is just like home and only problem we found out is list of kitchen utensils. We have not found the chopping board and the knife.

Good nights rest by

Even though we arrived when the camp was full of New Year's Eve party goers, the bathrooms were clean, the chalet was clean and the ceiling fan made it wonderful to sleep in the heat. It would be nice to have a kettle in the room.

Victoria Falls and rafting by

The location is convenient. We would have liked some sort of basic kitchen facility, even if it had been a communal kitchen. We were in a bigger group and would have liked to be able to have some cooling facility for our food and at least a way to prepare a basic breakfast. We could not even make a cup of coffee or hot tea, unless we had brought our own kettle.

Family stay by

The grounds are lovely and good for kids. The restaurant and pool was nice and staff were lovely. The lodge accommodation is very basic and needs maintenance. All appliances are very old and don't work very well and kitchen poorly stocked with basic cutlery etc.
