Sedgefield Lodge

Sedgefield Lodge is on the secure, private estate in Emalahleni on the banks of the Witbank Dam. The estate is home to wildlife, including a variety of buck species, zebras and wildebeest. The property is right next to the dam where guests have a private view of the water.

Accommodation is available in a two-bedroom unit which sleeps four adults and the Boathouse which is suitable for six adults and two children on the sofa bed.

The two bedroom unit is suitable for four adults. The first bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a bed for a child and a mattress only suitable for a child. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bed and a shower. The bathroom is shared by the two bedrooms. There is also a kitchenette next to the bedroom which is equipped with a two plate stove, microwave, fridge and a breakfast counter with two chairs.

The Boathouse has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two lounge areas, a dining area and a fitted kitchen. The first lounge area has a sofa bed and offers a view of the water. The second lounge area has comfortable seating and a TV. The dining area has a dining table with eight chairs. The kitchen has a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, cutlery and crockery.

Guests can use the built-in outdoor barbecue and table with seating for 10 guests. The pond is an angler's paradise with plenty of carp, perch and sharp-toothed catfish. There is very little traffic on the dam which makes it ideal for water sports. Guests can also enjoy the cycling and walking trails on site.
