Sâsa Safari Camp

'Sâsa' means 'peaceful' and is a Damara word. The camp offers panoramic views of the nearby Pareisis mountains. We are situated in the Ugab Valley of the Kunene region and are only one hour's drive to the famous Etosha National Park, the wildlife gem of southern Africa.

We are also close to day trip and outings to all the famous tourist attractions and historic landmarks such as the Vingerklip, the Petrified Forest and the Waterberg Plateau. It is also well located to visit other sightseeing places in the North Western Kunene Region like the Epupa Falls and the Himba people with their rich Himba Culture. Sâsa Safari Camp is near the main routes to the Angolan border.

Sâsa Safari Camp is built with natural stone from the area, blending in harmoniously with the backdrop of splendid rock formations.

Accommodation includes 10 twin bed chalets that share a large communal kitchen. Each chalet has its own bathroom and is comfortable, furnished and spacious. The campsites are rather special. Each site has its own barbecue area, table and chairs. Facilities include electricity, ladies and gents ablution with hot and cold water, washing facilities and a large open barbecue area. Wood can be purchased at reception.

Activities include a large, sparkling swimming pool, nature walks, birdwatching or just relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Sâsa Safari Camp offers a guided hiking trail and a volley ball court. Relax in the peaceful surroundings of nature. Various wild animals, birds and reptiles can be spotted from time to time.
