Zeerust is a small town located about 120 kilometres from Rustenburg, along the N4 National Corridor linking South Africa to Botswana; it is 240 kilometres north west of Gauteng Province. Fluorite and Chlorite mining together with crop and stock farming drive the economic machinery of this town. Historically rich with combatant interactions between indigenous Batswana and Dutch Settlers. Adorned with statues and monuments of "The Anglo-Boer War" of the 17th Century. The vegetation is semi-arid grassland and the landscape is rugged and rocky, with endless beautiful hills traversing the local areas.

The town is nestled within the Klein Marico Valley formed by the eternal flowing ,Klein Marico River. You are guaranteed a quiet and peaceful rest before you resume your journey tomorrow.

The name of our guesthouse draws inspiration from a Prehistoric great City of "Batswana Ba-Hurutshe" (A.K.A City of Tshwenyane or Kaditshwene) which existed during the Iron Age period of 1400.

The Ancient City highlighted the sophisticated way of life of Bahurutshe People and their skilful ability to mine Iron Ore from the local mountains in order to make tools and other metal ornaments.
