An Ocean Echo Backpackers Lodge is a self-catering budget lodge for the young at heart. It is 150 m from the popular Surfer's Corner Beach which is a haven for surfers. Loads of hard work has gone into renovating this 127-year-old Victorian home.

We offer Dorm accommodation and self-catering facilities. Enjoy television and pool tables in a great entertainment area, with large sky lights offering amazing views of the mountains.

Muizenberg has a fabulous seaside village atmosphere. We cater especially for the cycling and running culture and refer surfers to the nearby beach surf shops for lessons and surfboard or wetsuit sales and hire. We would love to welcome guests to our dynamic environment.

This is absolutely the most friendly place and I had a good time. I will go back any time.

Not a happy customer by

I had called and emailed the lodge on numerous occasions to confirm, but to no avail. When I arrived there, they had no idea I was coming, and my room had been given to somebody else. I was given a room with no tv or bath. Really unimpressed.
